If anyone has one of these 36vdc lift motors, I'd dearly love to have
any part number or labeling information from it.

3. Not sure, but I think my EGT-150 (same as GE ET, but two parent
companies later) has a 36V lift motor. It probably bolts right into your
ET if you can find one.
Chris, I have a New Idea EGT-120 and have owned several GE tractors. The
NI lift motor is entirely different from the car window motor used on the
GE
tractors. I have seen comments on this list that some of these were made
for 36 volts and they were marked with an orange dot. Mine did not have an
orange dot and the tractor was wired to run the lift motor from 18 volts,
so
I left it that way.
When I converted my NI to a front mower deck I found that the front
bumper/crosspiece did not have the derrick required for a front deck -
these were
supplied as a separate part for NI. I used a front bumper from a GE that
already had the derrick welded to it, and I had to redill the holes to
mount
the New Idea lift motor. Not a big deal, but it did require some
adapting.
The biggest problem would be finding one of these New Idea motors. Maybe
our suppliers might have one of these.
