Pieter, Thanks so much for digging into your pubs for me. Your spindle story in amazing. So far I am still on my first set, heaviest jobs I use mine for so far are to load/unload manure and top soil for the garden, orchard and berry patch. Harold Z. told me he has never had a pair break on his- except a heavy-duty set! Any other experiences out there? I looked to see if I could contribute to your library, but you already have the instructions for a AL-40 loader. I too think it's a great toy - mine is on an E-15, and is used to load materials into ATV carts for trail work or for yard work around the house.
I note a couple of differences in the directions. First, I have no mounting instructions (brackets to running boards. In addition, the set you have has a warning (bottom of last page) that the user might consider reinforced spindles. Good idea - I'm on the third set of originals. The spindles were never meant for that kind of load, and I'd be surprised if snow blower owners didn't experience spindle problems from time-to-time.
In any case, my directions are at: http://www.plitch.com/loader1.htm
By the way, I do travel in Iowa, and have snooped around Eagle Grove a few years ago (10?)to see if I could find any trace of the maker. No luck.

Just got the first donation of publications I did not have for my web site! A fellow is sending me scans of three publications he had that I don't have either originals of nor scanned copies of- I've never seen them before, can't wait to see them and post them on the site! I was hoping fellow members could help fill in the blanks on the list.
