Re: (ET) Nineteen inch blades?

A few years ago I changed over to 18" blades with a 3/8 hole.  I just tapped it for 3/8 fine thread and got some new bolts.  I was able to use $5.99 blades I found at Agri-Supply here in Garner, NC.  Worked fine for several several years until I switched over to a new deck.

E-8,E-10 and ER-8-36 all had a nominal 36" deck so you are close. The armatures for THOSE motors have always seem to have a different winding style than all the other mower motors, so that may be an important point to keep in mind. ( Longer blade needs more robust motor ? )
The 5/16" diameter bolt hole has always made obtaining blades from outside of the community a challenge. :(
Chances are a talented machinist could fabricate some bushings that would permit use of the more common 3/8" diameter hole equipped blade. :)
