Even easier, and probably healthier for the battery : just connect a generic
charger of appropriate voltage and charge algorithm directly to the battery.
If the charger has reasonable protection against open-circuit operation it
could be offboard - or if it's small enough, it could be onboard.
IIRC, Darryl is a dealer or distributor for one of the fairly well known
charger brands, Soneil. Maybe he could tell us which model is suitable (and
which ones, if any, aren't made in China ;-).
