Update: Still leaking. And I was looking in the archives and I see that in 2008 I posted about how the tractor was low on oil and was leaking.

Go figure. I wonder though if loosening the belts might stop the leak. Anyone have any other thoughts (aside from dumping the tranny, which I will do).

It is a bit louder, I guess a good 32oz of oil will fix it somewhat. Guess I can put a pan in the shed.

The first time I changed my trans oil I got a leak. The memory is fuzzy, but there's an axle support housing that bolts onto the main housing(??). That axle support housing was loose. Very loose. It might be worthwhile just going over all the external bolts to make sure everything is tight.
