That's the way the Alltrax field map is configured.  When set at factory 
defaults, it doesn't weaken the field as much as the GE controls.  

I don't know why Alltrax used that particular field map.  But I _think_ 
that 
setting "turbo" mode in the software increases the maximum field 
weakening.  
I'm not sure because I've never tried it -- I haven't yet felt the need 
for 
it.
