Re: (ET) Chargers (and winch)
Living in Savannah, I don't have much use for a snowthrower :-)
...so I didn't think of that. As far as mounting it diagonally, that may
work. I would be concerned about the cable and the rods that frame its
opening on the winch itself wearing, but it seems like you could easily
get some pieces like on the fairlead, and put them on those rods to
prevent that. Of course then it would all bunch up on one side of the
drum. Possibly a second fairlead close to the drum would help?
I think an alternative is to remove the original charger and mount the
winch where it was, more or less. Then you could cut a hole in the front
casting for the cable to come out and put a fairlead in front of it. It
would depend on whether the height that it came out at would work for you,
of course.
I put a bunch of other stuff up, but I don't have links yet. You'd just
