I am in the process of installing an Alltrax in my Wheel Horse C-185. I think I have almost everything figured out including having all the wires traced and remapped. But I still have a few parts I am not sure about so if anyone has any information I would be grateful:
First, according to the Alltrax diagram and directions I am to connect the A1 and S2 terminals of the main motor to the Alltrax. Which one is which?
Second, the directions say to wire the main motor CB into the to the M- on the Alltrax. How would I do this? Am I correct to think that I would wire the motor S2 to one side of the CB then wire from the other side of the CB to the Alltrax M-?
Third, what did different people use for the power shunt? If you used the 20” of wire, where did you wire it? If not what did you use?
Fourth, on the Alltrax diagram it says to connect the field reverse switch to F1 and F2. In tracing the wires I think they are two of the 4 that are on the white connector that attaches to the motor (the other two look like they are for the original brake switch and motor CB). Am I correct? Does anyone know which is which (forward/reverse) or do I just wing it?
Fifth, how did you wire the auxiliary outlet? Between the power meter shunt and the main manual cutoff switch?
Finally, did you use the charge/run switch as in the Alltrax diagram/directions? Any ideas where to get one?
