Per the engg standards, the tip speed should be 16000 to 18000 IPM ( inches 
per minute) and are required to stop in 5 sec when shut off., I have an old 
MTD 36" 2 blade deck here now that is driven by gearboxes and a common 
shaft, I'm going to install one motor on the shaft to drive both blades, 
will report more later when I find a round tuit.
