Blade spped for ALL lawnmowers should be the same.  I read somewhere that 
faster was better but t the tip of the blade shouldn't break the sound 
barrier.

Since we are on the subjects of decks, has anyone attempted to convert a 
conventional deck with Elec-Trak motors and modifying the mounts?

  It seems that a high quality gasoline riding deck could be converted.  I 
assume the rpm's of an Elec-Trak motor are greater than than that of a gas 
engine (??).  The higher blade speed, couple with a good aerodynamic deck 
ought to give a great cut.
