Re: (ET) E12 Stuck in Reverse/B145 traction motor overheating

The contactors are those big metal things mounted inside the control cabinet that go 'THUNK' when they are energized.

Do you have a Homeowner's Service Manual ? If not, get one. Don't venture inside your ET without one. :)

CZ,
Are the push-pull contactors the switches in the speed controller? Any
ideas on the best way to test them?

Two Issues:
My E12 was getting stuck in reverse and the machine needed to be shut
off to correct the problem. This happened twice then arcing/sparking
sounds came from the electronics under the steering wheel and now the
machine has no forward or reverse. Any thoughts on what to
troubleshot first? I have an E12M I could swap parts off.

The E12 has the push-pull contactors, I wonder if the linkages broke
on one of them and they shorted out cold?

That would cause major fun from the steering wheel part. Pull the
panels and check the contactors.

My B145 seems under powered and the traction motor heats up and shuts
off after about 15 minutes of use. The brakes not stuck on and it
has fresh gear oil. Do I need a new motor?
Thanks for any insights,
