2) I'm not sure what you have going on... I'll send you a couple of 
pictures off-list. The rod should be straight, with threads on one end 
to attach to a clevis, and a right angle bend at the other end. I didn't 
measure it, but it might be 16 or 18" long overall with maybe 3/4" bent 
into the leg of the L. Although it is indeed about 1/4" diameter, it is 
pretty tough to bend. Are we talking about the same thing?
