Good Morning, what I use (an in do not like ICEs) I have a LP heater from an 
old camper an I use a small 12vdc fan to move the air with to keep the heat 
mpving around. I have a 2.5kw ICE gen that I ran 2 times a day to pumpup the 
water system, keep the temps down on the freezer an refg. We lost power for 
5 day several years back an we keap the house at 65 degs, never lost any 
food an with the cook top LP we ate good. I run the gen the 1st of the month 
each month, it has a 12v outlet on it the charge the batteries with.
