Subject: (ET) Mower blades!

I have been toying around with the idea of purchasing a set of Wheel Horse 14-1/2? mower blades, $ 22.98 @ Glens surplus.  These blades have a center whole of ¾? and would need to be modified. I am thinking of filling in the whole with my mig welder and then re-drilling for the 5/16? that our decks use.

Has anyone else been successful in this type of thing?
