David Roden wrote that 38.6 volts sounds a bit high to turn on the GE charger. Based on all information available to me I also believe it is too high. Harry Landis said it is best at 38 volts. I plan to set mine down to slightly under 38 volts when they drain down to avoid unnecessary charging while parked this winter. Right now at 9 PM tonight the pack is holding at 38.5 volts with batteries reading 6.42, 6.43, 6.42, 6.41, 6.42, & 6.44. The Lee Hart Battery Charging Basic publication as well as your accompanying comments on the subject has been read over and over by me in efforts to better understand this matter. Thank you. |
