Re: (ET) 48v electrac

Years ago, Mark Hanson changed his ET to 48 volts using 8v golf car
batteries. He had fitted his homemade electronic controller, which didn't
do FW, and he wanted the high top speed back.

Mark used a separate controller to drop the 48v to 36v for the deck and
other accessories. Being a EE with lots of EV experience, Mark knows what
he's doing, so I'd say that applying 48v to the deck (etc) is probably not
a
good idea.

Their talk was the talk of sordid buccaneers: it was
reckless without hardihood, greedy without audacity,
and cruel without courage; there was not an atom of
foresight ... in the whole batch of them, and they did
not seem aware these things are wanted for the work of
    the world.
