The RAV4 EV takes a small paddle charger. This charger is a large paddle
charger and will not work and cannot be made to work with any vehicle that uses
a small paddle charger.

The
magnecharge uses an inductive "paddle", so the box you have is really only
part of the charger. The rest is included in the vehicle being charged.
Think of it as cutting a transformer in half: the primary winding is the
Magnecharger paddle, the secondary winding is the charge port on the
vehicle.
As such, it is only useful to those with a matching vehicle:
the (now mostly crushed) GM EV-1's, GM S-10's, Toyota Rav-4's, some
Solectria's, and a few others. Like ET's, shipping is a pain so where your
friend is located and who is looking in the immediate area has a lot to do
with the price. As other have noted, the going price is nowhere near the
$1000's it originally cost.
Off to work on my 1998 S-10 NiMH
battery pack and get the beast back on the road
