Re: (ET) ok, not the fusible link
Ok, another update - after letting it sit for a few minutes, I was able to
get reverse to work, so I could back it around into the garage - forward's
a no-go. When I put it in forward, I get power use up to yellow, but
nothing happening. It may have been in this same state earlier today, when
I thought it was fixed, since the first time I tried using forward was
when it cut out and everything stopped working (because of how I had
pushed it into the garage last night, I just backed it up out of the
garage and onto the yard to start mowing).
I'm thinking this is the forward/reverse relay? Hopefully? Of
course, how does it explain the issue of keeping the PTO from working?
Whatever's going on, whenever I try going forward, there's a substantial
current draw - and if I try going forward while the blades are engaged, it
seems to act as if it's temporarily tripped a circuit breaker (perhaps. I
checked CB-1 though, and it's not tripping that one), since then the
blades stop working, and reverse stops working.
I ordered a couple spare 36V relays a few days ago (suspecting
the forward/reverse relay of being the culprit of the intermittent
non-working problem), so one should be here shortly to try out soon.
Thanks,
Mike
