Re: (ET) d'oh - did I hook something up wrong?
Hi Walt
Great thought, that blower. Commercial groundkeepers use factory made
versions. I see you're a 'shop wizard' to have thought of and done this
adaptation.
There are a couple atts I want to make. one is 'wings' for my plow
(they only have to be plywood) and a backboard so she dont spill many
leaves off the sides when plowing em and I can push higher piles. Most
yards it ain't necessary but like you, I got a lotta leaves. They *used
to* drive me crazy.
The other 'hope I get time and energy to build' is different. Using
an extra deck motor, a ' manually swinging' giant weedwacker perhaps
using light SS cable instead of plastic wacking string. This would let
me 'giant weedwack' to the left, in front of, or to the right of the
mown path. Hate the noise and fumes of the gas wacker and walking when
one can ride.
I have most of a 'billygoat' attachment - likely aftermarket - for my
tractors. It uses a typical GE motor and plug. The bag part (the thing
looks articulated with a separate bag carrier) is missing. No nameplate
on it or anything. Would be great for leftover leaves or any lawn or
driveway cleanup.
I wonder if anyone on this board has a photo of this type of
attachment so I won't have to reinvent the second half.
