Yes, there were even HORSE DRAWN sickle bars. Yes, the GE cut 3/4"
saplings easily. It had lousy height control. I did consider modifying
a push sicle bar before I had one (now sold) but couldn't find the right
width.

I've been wondering about this, too. I would think that there might be
safety issues, tho I don't suppose it's worse than one that sticks out
to
the side. Do they make tow-behind sickle bars?
