Re: (ET) I-5 troubles

Yes. there are 3 wires going to resistor pack. But unlike my E15 and E16 this one looks like a duel pack. A "standard" resistor pack and a heavy gage band pack in front of it. There are 8 switches in the foot control and I can hear them click but it does not go any faster.

Model # 26CE20AA
Serial # FP18025 (This one my be incorrect as it was not stamped very clear)

Thanx
Dean

This unit should have eight forward speeds. There should be three heavy gauge wires going to the armature resistor / charger housing. Is this correct ? Also, please post the information from the badge under the hood, or on top of the control cabinet depending on where they decided to put it. :)

Subject: (ET) I-5 troubles

Hi,
I recently acquired an I-5 and the top three motor speeds do not
work. Also the cruise light comes on, but it does not hold speed when
I press the button. Could the 2 problems be related? I think that
this is an older version tractor because it does not have the 2 speed
cruise.
Thanx
