You have issues with both the Diode Varistor Assembly, which
is most of the field control circuitry, and the Diode Array, which has
to do with armature contactor control.
Do you have a Homeowner's Service Manual? If you do, repairing
these yourself isn't much of a chore.
A trip to RadioShack®, some quality time with the soldering
pencil of your choice, and you'll be ready for the next snowfall.

Hello folks,
My I5 is a bit temperamental lately. A couple of weeks ago it blew
open
a small diode behind the firewall. While that diode was out the I5 had
one fast forward speed. I replaced that diode and the other forwards
speeds worked again, but I also noticed a blow/corroded MOV or
capacitor on another board of unknown function. I'm not sure what it
is
and I don't have a schematic.
Can anyone tell me what this part is?
