        You have issues with both the Diode Varistor Assembly, which is 
most of the field control circuitry, and the Diode Array, which has to do 
with armature contactor control.
       Do you have a Homeowner's Service Manual? If you do, repairing these 
yourself isn't much of a chore.
      A trip to RadioShack®, some quality time with the soldering pencil of 
your choice, and you'll be ready for the next snowfall.
