Re: (ET) 18 volt source



One other suggestion I've seen previously is just to add a separate 18V 
battery & charger (charger can be outside the ET) and just run the 18V/12V 
stuff off the dedicated battery, leaving the 36V series for all 36V-native 
applications.  If there isn't much room under the hood for an extra batt, 
I know there's plenty of room in the rear weight box or toolbox.

I'm not advocating or critizing this solution, just that I've seen it 
suggested before.  It's probably the cheapest and simplest solution, being 
just the cost of a battery and charger.  DC-to-DC converters can get quite 
expensive, especially in the high amperage range.
