I'd say order a new relay from Harold; his relays have plastic covers,
are solid like bricks, and will last forever.” Chris,
my problem was not the brand new small relay but my failure to bring power to
the relay from the middle contact of the start switch on the Curtis pot
assembly as Ralph Vogan pointed out. I answered you earlier but I think the
reply was not configured for go on the Digest. In the future I will not reply
to the entire message but copy out the significant point which needs a reply. If
you receive this let me hear if sent within the Digest rules. Also if you want pictures
and can receive them as attachments to email let me know. Recently I have bought
several parts from Harold Zimmerman and installed them on my tractor. I show those
parts in some pictures which I sent Digest members who requested them.
Harold’s email provider does not support the pictures so I printed a
letter including some of the pictures and mailed it to him just because he has
been a very essential adviser and the only supplier of Elec-Trak parts after
Bill Gunn. One picture showed the Power Meter and the C.C. Button with green
light which he supplied after I blew up my original. Another showed the used
mower caster wheels with good axle sleeves which replaced my worn out casters
in which I used a strip of tin as bearings. You correctly advised all to grease
the front wheels. I will add “oil the casters sleeves”. I will need
Harold to help with one of my mower motors which has probably a bent shaft.
Thank you, Raymon |
