Sure. Start by removing the diodes and checking them; one might be shorted.

The diodes are odd looking devices. They almost appear to be integral to the heat sink that they're attached to. Is there a trick to removing them? Is there a source for replacements or do folks just find a way to connect a common power diode?

They are pressed in there; you can test them in the unit without pulling them out. The source for replacements is Harold Zimmermn (cleanpower att net).
