But why would you want a visual indicator anyway unless you have no 
hearing?
No offense to the hearing-impaired, I can't hear high frequencies out of 
one
of my own ears, but - wouldn't a buzzer in place of the LEDs do the trick
(assuming you can hear it)?  Or in addition to the LEDs?

Actually Dwight's ideas about deck maintenance are the most compelling.  I
took the blades off mine tonight and ground some edges onto them.

On my deck, one of the 3 blades was mounted without the flexible washers.
Are these fiber washers?  Will I do any damage if I run it without them?
