RE: (ET) Rear wheel flanges
I have not
seen this. The rear-end is a standard Peerless unit. If the play is
all at the key, I would replace the key. If there is play in the axle you
might start looking for a parts machine. My guess is the setscrews were
rusty, and they weren't tightened. You might need some
heat.

I jacked up the E20 this weekend to
reposition a set of wheel chains that had worked loose during mowing. I
noticed that the wheel felt loose and immediately checked the lug bolts which
were tight? Took the wheel off and found the hub flange loose on the axel
shaft, lots of play in it. The last couple of times that I had the tractor
out I noticed what seemed to be a slip when starting up. Checked the other
wheel flange and it to is loose. Tried to tighten up the allan head bolts
that seem to be what holds the flange on the key of the shaft, but could not
budge them. I have them soaking with penatrating oil for the time being
until I can get back to the tractor next week end. Has anyone seen this
type of thing on there tractors and can offer me some advice as to what caused
this? Would I be better using a puller and replacing the axel key on each
side.
Thanks,
BobK
