There's a battery dealer in my area which does a brisk trade in
reconditioned
batteries. Their customers are mostly owners of '70s-vintage land yachts,
and
used-car dealers. I've never had much interest in reconditioned
batteries,
but I've bought some new batteries from them.
One day as another customer left with a $20 reconditioned battery for his
big
old Buick, I asked the counterman: "So, what exactly do you DO to a
battery
when you recondition it?"
"We charge it," he said.
