RE: (ET) Charger repair.



Tim,

I think the capacitor that is used in the elec tracts may not
be the one needed for the lester charger (actually I would be
surprised if their transformer design required the exact same
capacitor). But this is just an assumption. If I saw right 
then the capacitor on the elec-traks is not used on the
output but on an extra winding. That winding would have to 
be the exact same design on the lester for the capacitors to
match. Or your lester may use the capacitor on the output and
thus require a lower voltage, but higher capacitance capacitor?

If I remember right than a higher capacity will lead to
a higher output value (up to a certain threashold).

Others may be able to explain better.
