Hi, Dean, hi, all,
I am delighted to hear what you just described; it
seemed from reading the schematics that that would be the case (because, indeed,
the change-of-state or the f/r switch is the only difference as far as the
control system is concerned; same microswitches get pushed by the throttle lever
going backward in its slot as forward, etc.)
But HOO YEAH! Since this whole adventure got
started by melting down a reversing contact in the relay just from relatively
small residual current as I changed direction, you sure as h*** wouldn't
want to be switching directions with any drive current running at
all.
Does the E-20 have some kind of electrical or
electronic lock-out for direction change? I seem to rememebr that f/r is just a
dashboard toggle.
