Another possibility is a double ground fault. It's quite possible that one of his wires on the main power has rubbed thru to ground, and the tag wire going to FW8 resistor has also gone to ground. Everything is great till he hits speed 8, at which time it blows the fuse.

Check to see if there is any voltage between any of the battery points and the frame when the tractor is running, motor on, speed 5.

Marcus Lorch has an E20 which is teasing him with an uncommon problem,
that of blowing the control section fuse in Speed 8.  Here are two guesses,
best I can do without seeing the tractor.  First is that the connection
from the microswitch to the resistor has shorted to ground where it passes
from the control box to inside the console. Second guess is that the FW resistor has open-circuited.
