Re: (ET) Skipping steering
A previous owner added some heavy duty springs to pull steering shaft and
gear toward the gear it meshes with, on one of my E-20's.
It works MUCH better than my other E-20, which has gears that slip every
time you turn the steering wheel, when snowblower is mounted.
I will look at custom washers to fix the second E-20, since I have a
variety
of the electrical conduit punchouts you mention.
Can it be done with less disassembly ? ( I tried a variety of things on
the
bad E-20 years ago, before I got the other one, and saw how that fix was
implemented).
Anyone else tried this (the custom made washers) yet ?
