IIRC, the normal speed for the direct drive rotaries is about 3600 RPM.
I've got a rotary tach, could probably check the neighbors mower if needed
Hump, I've got the drive motor from whatever model I just stripped, it's
maye 5" dia and 15" long, can check closer. Don't know what is in other
one that's next in line. Dunno what whould be reasonable price, maybe
$25 plus shipping.
