There are plenty of modern equivalents.  I suggest finding a 24 volt relay
with a 20 amp rating and using a resistor in series with the coil to drop
36 volts to 24.  (A value of half the coil resistance is the best bet.)
You can get such a relay (and resistor) at electronics shops or mail-order
from places like Digi-Key.
