(ET) alltrax communuications

Of those with the new Alltrax controller for their ETs, has anyone 
successfully configured it using the supplied software?

I had tried it under Win98 with no luck, but that was predicted. I've 
now tried in under Windows XP and still no luck. I've checked to make 
sure it is set to Com1, yet it doesn't see the controller. Any thoughts?

[This was with a Dell Dimension 2300 desktop computer, 1.8 Ghz, 256 MB 
RAM, running Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 1. The 
controller was running from a 24 VDC wall wart, as per the diagram from 
Steve. The LED was giving 1 red flash, indicating a throttle error which 
makes sense since no throttle attached. The software kept coming up 
"Motor controller is no responding".]

I need to get this part to work so that I can upload the patch when it 
is ready... no to mention set voltage limits etc.
