Definitely won't work with automatic chargers.  They usually need to see 
some 
voltage across the terminals before they'll start.  MIght work with plain 
dumb 
chargers that are nothing but a transformer and rectifer.  

If it'll light a taillight bulb - maybe.  If not, no chance.
