Re: (ET) Mower deck motor(s)



I've had it pointed out to me that the direct drive design of the E-trac mower deck makes it vulnerable to serious damage if the blade(s) hit an immovable object or large enough rock.  My last etrac acquisition came with an extra 36v motor and Jacobsen belt driven deck.  The idea of course being that the belt will slip when the blades hit something large and hard.  this is part of an unfinished project though and i've not started it.

Has anyone already done this?
