Re: (ET) DCX controllers now shipping
Hi Jon,
Hope you don't mind if I respond to your message and copying everyone else.
It relates to other questions I have received from others.
When the controller arrives it is ready to go. You do not have to set
anything or down-load anything. The only time you would want to talk to
your controller is if you want to change the battery Max battery voltage,
Max current output, throttle ramp rate and braking current etc. We have
set
the ET version up with a gentler ramp and braking rate than the golf cars
because of the difference in the gear ratios. Initial test on my E-15 had
me tearing up the grass when I went into reverse or used the regen braking.
We normally set the ramp rates fwd/rev at around 5 on the scale of 1-15 for
the golf cars. For the ET's we set it at 3.
We do not have any provisions for Macs. Sorry, but I think we will down the
road.
We are not a software house so we have to hire out our software work when
it
comes to PC's & Mac's.
Thanks for your questions..
Steve
