(ET) Elec-Trak-powered snow removal

Here in SE PA we had about 6" of wet snow on Fri. and Sat.
I got my 1998 Wheel Horse 522xi (ICE) into the shop on Fri. nite with
thoughts of installing the snowthrower, but after I put the chains on the
C-185 Elec-Trak (dozer blade was already on) and took it out in the snow,I
decided to postpone the snowthrower installation at least until Sat.
morning. Am I ever glad I did! The Elec-Trak worked wonderfully!
And it was so much more pleasant than having the noise and odor of the gas
engine. In agreement with some recent posts,it never ceases to amaze me
that even modern-day gas powered small engines are allowed to be and are
so inefficient and polluting.
On another note,I have the chance to buy out the Elec-Trak parts
inventory of a long-time dealer but I'm not sure that it's worth it
because I guess Bill still makes most of the parts.I guess I'll have to
see what he has.
