(ET) Brake Upgrade

Was looking at my I-5 brake assembly this weekend.
It's very easy to see since the machine is on it's
rear end during refurbishing. It appears that I have
the later style brake assembly with the two long bolts
(with a spacer) at either end. The center (where the
pads is) is not adjustable. One of the two bolts was
not snugged up tight against the spacer, so I snugged
both up. This helped the adjustment. Additonally, I
slightly changed the length of the brake rod wich also
helped.

The pads themselves do not appear to be worn out.
They have friction pads that would equal about 3 or 4
quarters stacked. Since I don't know how big new ones
are, I'm just guessing here.

I've been reading about Bill Gunn's brake upgrade.
How is it different from what I have? Is it only the
caliper assembly that's different, or is the rotor
also different? I'm not sure which rotor I have, as
mine was kinda coated with dried muddy water. I do
know that it had rivets in it at the base. This would
probably indicate that it's the steel one.

Anyone have any pictures of the upgraded one?

Thanks,
