The refurb is progressing. The large diameter motor has been removed
from the deck and the rotor separated from the stator. The lower
bearing is quite shot - the outer race is rusted to the case endpiece
and i would bet the inner race is rusted to the shaft. The upper
bearing appears ok but I want to replace it while the motor is
disassembled.
Any suggestions on what tool to use to remove the lower bearing from
the case endpiece?
What about a tool for pulling the upper bearing off the shaft? (The
clearance between the bearing and the commutator is so small.)
Thanks again,
Andy
