RE: (ET) Wheelhorse Models

One of the real Wheel Horse owners can answer, but Full-Frame tractors
(those with front-mount motors) can share accessories. Having said that,
there are many differences. The controllers are different (those on New
Idea tractors-- the other spin offs, are more similar) and a number of
other components were changed. For example, the lift rods on the GE have
a swivel ball, much like those on farm equipment 3 point hitches, those on
a Wheel Horse have a rubber bushing. They both fit, but I think the
bushing was cheaper, it may be better too, but that's a judgment call.
They had different versions of some other parts too, like an extra-heavy
duty blade that ties to the middle instead of the front, and perhaps some
other gas Wheel Horse parts fit too. I have seen one Wheel Horse GAS
tractor that was using what looked like the same frame and configuration
as a GE E12 or E15, complete with front deck driven by BELTS. The numbers
had all been painted over, so it might have be!
en a conversion.

Subject: (ET) Wheelhorse Models

I am still in search of an Elec-Trak - came close on a couple, there a
couple that still might work out.

In searching, I have a good idea about the GE models and what the
differences are, but I have no idea about the Wheelhorse models. From what
I've seen and heard I think they are similiar to their GE counterparts, but
there I go thinking again.

Can anyone give me a run down on the Wheelhorse (and any other non-GE)
versions of the Elec-Trak?. Also, are the parts interchangeable with the GE
models? Any other differences? As I understand it the Wheelhorse is a later
model - is this good or bad? Thinking is: good because they are newer, bad
because it was near end of life and corners may have been cut.

TIA,

Steve
