Marty, you should measure approx 35 volts across each side of the
transformer with the capacitor disconnected and 45 volts with it
connected, this is with the charger disconnected from the batteries.
I also have a JD90, I've repaired or replaced the charger about 4 times,
now use a "box" charger. If yours is working OK it should charge the
Elec-trak but will take a lot longer. Just compare the sizes of the
transformers.
