Geoff, do you have a hygrometer ? You should have. Check the charged
battery, it should be about 1.275 or at least 1.225. Usually, figure
putting in about 110% of the rating (amps) if the battery is dead.
I'd guess that you have a wiring problem rather than a battery problem,
probably either a bad disconnect or bad fusible link ( the link can be
open even if it looks good visually, chck it with an ohmmmeter)
