No, mine did this with brand new batteries. I've since seen several
others that do so. But mine's fairly old and so were the others; maybe
Lester have turned it down in the newer production.
I've been told that they can be ordered with different finishing rates.
Lester suggest higher rates for higher capacity batteries, which is
reasonable; I just think that 8 amps is too high for the basic 105 minute
golf car battery.
