(ET) Inverters, anyone? How many could they sell?

One subject that constantly comes up is inverters.  The GE's are 
not easy to find, and the ability to use simple 110V 60Hz devices 
remotely would make many people happy.  Now I WAS thinking of 
designing a fresh solid-state inverter (and I may still do so) but 
I really don't have time plus not that many people have access to 
inexpensive board making facilities or power transformers.  So I 
did a bit of web/e-mail research.  I found a Taiwanese company 
selling 12/24/48 V 50/60Hz inverters, and asked about 36V.  Here is 
the e-mail and reply.  Lots of 36V.  If there is enough interest, 
we might get a 'deal'.  No promises, just potential.  I haven't done 
importation before....

nominal (38 V high to 34 V low).

The input by 36VDC models are not listed at our homepage.
