Hello, Randy - yes, the Exides I'm using ar GC-4s, I don't remember the
amp hour rating, they were the highest EXide made in that type. They
are either 4 or 5 years old, On a check this am the voltages ranged from
6.37 to 6.30 with no load. It's probably been a week since I charged
them. The SG ranged from 12.35 to 12.55 on all the cells with no
difference between the 3 powering the lift and the rest. I haven't run
an equalizing charge this year - don't see a need for it.
The R36 is running, after taking off the hood, spending a while tracing
wires I found the problem to be a blown fuse in a holder marked
"charger". (darn engineers anyway) - nothing to tell it also supplied
the voltage for the start and run circuits. Now to try and find some
cheap batteries that have more capacity than the old junkers I put in
for test. And 2 hours to put the hood back on - this is not a "customer
oriented" maching.
