Hi Randy,

If you recall the days when 12v chargers were ?dumb machines? that you
had to time so that you hoped to get a max charge without boiling out
the batteries or warping the plates, that is what the charger on the ET
is all about. If you read the manual they expect you to monitor the bats
with a hydrometer?, etc. otherwise you are guessing.

Modern chargers are computerized to monitor the bats condition as they
charge. There is no comparison. You just plug it in and forget it,
knowing that you will get the optimum charge based on age, discharge,
etc.
