RE: (ET) ET 141

Get a weight box. Fits front or back. I have been known to put (3) 94 lb.
bags of
concrete on the weight box at one time. The front end stays down.

In answer to some inquiries: Re Wheel Horse 141- 8 Speed

This is a unique ET. It has 2 banks of 3 X 12v batteries running in
parallel monitored by a "balance meter". The motor runs at a constant
speed and operates just like a gas tractor. In fact it is a gas tractor
conversion. This saved WH money no doubt. It has 4 speed trans. with
Hi/Lo range for a total of 8. It is WH's last ET entry.

I have no idea how many were made. I am in the process (just started
today) of converting it to 6 X 6v bats. (I'll be damned if I am going to

buy 6 inferior 12v deep cycle batteries at such a cost). This requires
such feats as raising the seat and cutting out part of the trays at
front, etc. I have a complete set of spare pans in case I ever want it
back to original format. I will also mount a 30A recept. so I can charge

it with a modern golf car charger as I do with all my ETs. It came with
a crazy auto mechanical dual 12v charger. Never did get one to charge
right.

I don't really like the sys. because you cannot vari speeds on the go
and the sound of the motor always running at top speed tends to get on
the nerves. It also has no plugs for the ET accessories of which we have

many. It also lacks the power lift that has oh so many uses. In it's
defense it does have a rugged mid mount mower and takes the WH mid
grader blade, but the so does my E-12M. Reverse is in the trans
resulting in too much effort to just go the other way! Seems like you're

always shifting. My E-20, on the other hand, burns rubber in it's
instant response to the reverse switch. Yehya!!

My favorite is still the E-20 with all the speeds and shuttle on the fly

and the POWER. We move 23 foot boats around the yard with this sucker.
Preferred driving position with such loads is sitting on the hood facing

backwards. A little squirrely steering but works pisser and keeps the
front wheels down. Mine is down at the moment but I have rebuilt the
controller card this week and plan to reinstall it tomorrow. (the 20 pin

plug fell apart and so did the power transistor and the pc contacts. Had

to buy 5 transistors to get the one so I have some for sale and the plug

I replaced with an Amphenol rack mount unit. Much tougher. Will post
pict of rehabbed board at web site soon.) (as well as some picts of the
141) Got some great picts this morning moving the new pigs around with
the WH 15 (you know which one I mean) and our ATV trailer.

We are located on Cape Cod, in Eastham.
